Carol Singing and Isokon Gallery

Belsize Carol Singing

The Society’s Christmas Carol Singing was well-attended with over fifty singing along with Matthew Watts at Belsize Terrace. We were joined by the Primrose Hill Community Choir. During the 45 minutes, some old favourites were rolled out, many with our youngest singers leading from the front.  Also, over £250 was raised for the Marie Curie hospice, a good local cause.

Isokon Gallery, Lawn Road

As we head towards spring, readers may be pleased to know that the Isokon Gallery in the Isokon Building will reopen after the winter break on Saturday 4 March 2023.  The story of Isokon (aka Lawn Road Flats, which opened in 1934) is told through texts contributed by leading experts on the Modernist period, a number of original artefacts and the recreation of an original bathroom and kitchen.  The Gallery is open to visitors 11am–4pm every Saturday and Sunday, from the start of March until the end of October.  Entry is free and no booking is required.  For further details, go to https://isokongallery.org/.
