Events

The Belsize Residents Association organises social events throughout the year. These may include guided walks, an annual garden party, Christmas carols in Belsize Village, neighbourhood get-togethers and talks on topics of local interest. Events often conclude with tea and home made cakes or a glass of wine. Some are open to non-members.

Forthcoming events are listed below. They are also published in our newsletters, on the BRA noticeboards in Belsize Village and Haverstock Hill and in shops on England’s Lane.

Carol Singing
The weather was fine and there was a good turnout for the BRA’s Christmas carol singing.
Our thanks go to Handley Stevens and his family for again making it such an enjoyable and
successful event this year, raising over £350 for the Marie Curie Hospice.

Wallace Collection: BRA private tour
On Sunday 9 October, twenty-five BRA members were given a guided tour of the Wallace Collection in central London.  Many of us had been before to this outstanding collection but our guide helped us to understand and see the wonderful displays in a new light.  Many thanks to those who made this a memorable afternoon.

Belsize Tree Walk
On Sunday 18 September, a group of BRA members was treated to a fascinating guided tour of trees in Belsize. Walking from Belsize Village to the Swiss Cottage Open Space, we had our eyes opened to the variety and character of the trees in our neighbourhood which we usually take for granted.  Our guide was superb at getting us all to think about how to look at trees and how to recognise them. It was followed by refreshments at Swiss Cottage Community Centre. Thanks to all who contributed.
